Agora Wedding | Styled Shoot

Community. That’s one of the first words that comes to mind when I think of Boulder. From the large community tables at many local restaurants, to group yoga in the park, or movie nights downtown, people are always gathering together to share life in Boulder.

Being a photographer, living in a community like Boulder is a super awesome experience! Over the last few years, I’ve worked with many talented and creative people. To celebrate, recognize, and share all of our talents, we’ve spent the last few months planning a styled wedding shoot. I was crazy nervous leading up to the day of the shoot – but our community came together and we had a beautiful, fun afternoon. We had it all – from the farm tables, to the jewelry, to the flowers!

Our “bride and groom”, Lara and Whitey, are actually a happily married couple of 5 years. They had so much fun reliving their own wedding day! You can see on their faces the love, excitement, and commitment they have for one another. Lara was on double duty for this event – she owns Fiori Flowers and provided the stunning bridal bouquet and the table arrangements.

We got to shoot at one of Boulder’s newest venues – the Agora at the Riverside. This revitalized community space tucked along the Boulder Creek Path is an exquisite location. From the exposed brick walls to the glorious lighting, this was the perfect location. The literal meaning of the word agora is “gathering place” or “assembly”. In ancient Greek times, the agora was the center of athletic, artistic, spiritual and political life of the city. That’s what the Agora’s owners goal is for their very own space in Boulder.

The space was expertly decorated by our wedding planner, Leah at La Dolce Events. Leah worked closely with RC Events, who provided the charming farm tables, chairs, and flatware.

Lara’s elegant hair and radiant make-up was styled by Theresa at GLOW Portfolio Design. With 27 years of experience, Theresa is a total professional and always brings a photo shoot to the next level. Her attention to detail and fun personality helped everything work smoothly on the day of the event.

Erin Edwards, a Stella and Dot consultant, provided all the fun and glamorous jewelry that Lara wore. Whether you want to host a ladies’ night trunk show or just jazz up your own jewelry collection, Erin will set you up with all the latest and greatest from Stella and Dot!

This community of creative, inspired, and talented people made this styled shoot a dream come true!
